Giovanni Antonio Canal, known as Canaletto, born in Venice, the child of a dramatic scene painter. He was compelling, popular for his correctly portrayed and reminiscent perspectives on the city (vedute). He found that giving equation-based works of art to vacationers was worthwhile. These, still exceptionally talented works, were delivered by him regularly in a joint effort with a composed workshop. They typically record the luxurious Venetian public functions, as in ‘Regatta on the Grand Canal’.
