Henri Julien Felix Rousseau, born on 21 May 1844, France, a self-educated artist. Rosseau was a French post-impressionist painter in the Naive or Primitive way. Henri Rousseau got famous for his naive style of paintings. He was otherwise called Le Douanier, a comical description of his occupation as a cost and assessment authority. He was totally untutored in any settled art methods. Though the artwork foundation giggled and derided his artistic style, he was exceptionally respected by artists who were outside the foundation, by Picasso, Leger, Beckman, and later, painters of the Surrealist style.
