ABOUT THE ARTIST
Chaitali Chatterjee is an artist, both by passion and training. She belongs to the Eastern Indian state of Bengal which is famous for its powerful artistic traditions. She built an interest in painting at an early age through Rangoli (traditional designs made on the ground and dividers in Bengal). She won several honors and accolades at various national and international painting contests while still at school.
She got formal education in art at Delhi College of Art where she was educated by a portion of India’s forcing painters including Manjit Singh Bawa, Bimal Dasgupta, and Bishwanath Mukherjee.
Her specialization was in commercial art, and for a long time, she served as an independent commercial artist.
She held thirteen solo exhibitions and various group exhibitions thus far. She’s gone to various workshops in and around New Delhi. Her paintings are sold both in India and around the world including Germany, U.S.A., Bangladesh, Australia, and Vietnam.
