ABOUT THE ARTIST

Arty Guava, also known as Lay Hoon, hails from Malaysia and now calls Vancouver, Canada, her home. Her artistic repertoire spans a wide spectrum of mediums, encompassing digital art, traditional painting, the creation of expansive murals, and the development of captivating digital art installations. Lay Hoon's journey into the creative realm took a remarkable turn after she earned her degree in Bio-engineering. She redirected her career trajectory to follow her passion, embarking on a decade-long adventure in Singapore. During this time, she collaborated with internationally recognized brands such as Heineken, Shiseido, and SK2, predominantly focusing on branding and packaging. In 2019, Lay Hoon and her family made the transition to Canada, a move that rekindled her artistic flame, particularly amid the backdrop of the global pandemic. It wasn't long before Lay Hoon's artistic endeavors garnered widespread acclaim. She began receiving commissions from distinguished brands.
