ABOUT THE ARTIST
Pratap Singh Santoshi studied Applied Arts from College of Art, Delhi University. He specializes in geometrical and mechanical art with his work being imprinted on various handloom products. His attractive designs and patterns have been adopted by various Mills and Factories. He has also worked for renowned export companies in India. Having experience of 25 years as a Textile Designer, he also possesses knowledge of Computer Designing.
He has also worked with A.D.L. International Ltd. as Textile Designer (Towel) for the year 1995-1996. He has also worked with Kaji Puran Ladies Suits Design, Bareilly c/o Ministry of Textile, Govt. of India. He was also nominated as a member of the SLSC Delhi in the year 2002, organized by the Ministry of Textile for selection of ‘Master Craftsman of the State’ with a view to give recognition to their excellence in craftsmanship and development of crafts.
The beauty of his geometrical and ornament style patterns has led him to prosper as a fine artist, mastering the intricacies of his art. His canvas is laden with a palette of rich colors and is a manifestation of local art and culture.
